Defender Teyah Goldie has been crowned the winner of the Stake Player of the Month award for February.
The Watford FC Women’s player has flourished in the backline since joining on a dual-sign agreement from Arsenal in January.
Having helped the Golden Girls to a first clean sheet of the season on debut against Blackburn, the highly-rated 17-year-old demonstrated her defensive acumen and ability to build from deep in February defeats at the hands of Charlton and Lewes.
A reassuring and protective presence, Goldie’s performances earned her a spot in England’s Development Phase Squad (Under-19s) that recently took part in the Marbella International Tournament during the international break.
In a highly-competitive poll, as voted for by the supporters, Goldie topped the standings ahead of Hassane Kamara, Craig Cathcart, Ben Foster, Megan Chandler and Samir.
