Young Colombian forward Jorge Cabezas Hurtado has completed a six-month loan move to MLS side New York Red Bulls, Watford FC confirms.
The 19-year-old agreed his switch to the Hornets from CD Real Cartagena in his home country in October 2022, signing officially in January 2023, and then spent the latter half of last season on loan at Independiente MedellÃn.
Having featured alongside Yáser Asprilla at the 2023 Under-20 World Cup – where he made five appearances en route to a quarter-final exit – Hurtado will now further his development in the USA with Red Bulls, who currently sit 11th in the Eastern Conference.
