Watford FC confirms the departure of midfielder Dan Gosling, following the expiration of his contract with the club.
The 33-year-old leaves having scored three goals in 37 games since his January 2021 arrival from AFC Bournemouth, including a memorable winner at Norwich City that played a crucial part in promotion to the Premier League.
After featuring 13 times for the Hornets in the latter half of that 2020/21 season, Gosling appeared on four occasions in the top-flight during 2021/22 and scored a header at Chelsea on the final day.
Back in the Sky Bet Championship last term, the ex-England youth international was a key figure in the side until he suffered a serious Achilles injury at Bristol City in November, showcasing his versatility by being deployed in a variety of positions throughout his 17 league appearances.
