It will be a busy international break for the Hornets, with 10 players called up to represent their countries during the October period.

Adam Masina and Imrân Louza have received call-ups for Morocco. They are set to play three World Cup qualifiers, with back-to-back fixtures against Guinea-Bissau home and away on October 6 and October 9, before a meeting with Guinea on the 12th away from home.

Kwadwo Baah will represent Germany for the first time, having been called up for their Under-19s side. Baah represented England Under-18s, but will join up with the country of his birth on October 6 to take on Slovakia Under-19s, followed by meetings with Portugal and the Netherlands’ youth squads, all taking place in Slovakia.

Kicking off his international fixtures a day later is defender William Troost-Ekong. The Nigeria captain has fixtures home and away against the Central African Republic, on October 7 and October 10 as the Super Eagles aim to secure a place at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Ozan Tufan’s Turkey host Norway in a World Cup qualifier on October 8, before a clash against Latvia three days later.

Also playing on October 8 is Slovakian midfielder Juraj Kucka, who has two away games against Russia and Croatia, the latter taking place on October 11.

Four Golden Boys play their first international matches of the break on October 9. Craig Cathcart’s Northern Ireland visit Switzerland, and then Bulgaria on October 12.

Daniel Bachmann will hope to continue his fine form from the summer’s Euros when Austria face the Faroe Islands, with a trip to Denmark to follow on the 12th.

Ken Sema plays on the same dates, at home to Kosovo and Greece for Sweden.

Ismaïla Sarr’s Senegal play Namibia twice in their international break, at home on October 9, and in South Africa three days later.
