Injury Update: Cleverley, Sarr & More

By: Watford FC Staff

There’s been a welcome drop in numbers within the Hornets’ treatment room in recent weeks.

And as the Easter weekend duo of fixtures approach, Tom Cleverley is back in full training having recovered on schedule from his knee ligament problem.

Ismaïla Sarr (hamstring) is working hard in an attempt to be back in contention for Friday’s game. Head Coach Xisco Muñoz will make a late decision as to whether he’s included in the matchday squad for the visit of Sheffield Wednesday.

Troy Deeney’s steady progress from an Achilles tear continues to gather momentum with increased gym work. He’s pushing to start working outside soon, if regular checks prove positive.

Enjoying a return to the training pitches already is Tom Dele-Bashiru, who’s stepping up his work outdoors to build further strength in his knee after his October ACL injury.

Teenage centre-half George Langston, who’s on loan at Wealdstone, is continuing to work to shrug off a hamstring strain so he can rejoin the action at the National League side.
