Matheus Martins v Coventry City – September 2

Coming at a crucial time in the Sky Bet Championship encounter, Matheus Martins produced a memorable finish against the Sky Blues.

Receiving the ball on the halfway line from Tom Dele-Bashiru, the Brazilian drove towards the edge of the area before curling into the top corner, wheeling away in jubilant celebration at the CBS Arena.

Carly Johns v London City Lionesses – September 3

In the Golden Girls’ second match of the Barclay’s Women’s Championship campaign, Carly Johns continued her impressive form in front of goal with a composed finish against London City Lionesses.

An exquisite pass from full-back Lucía León gave Johns the time and space needed to show her quality from a tight angle, picking out the bottom corner to secure the 20-year-old’s second goal in as many games.

Sophie McLean v Charlton Athletic – September 10

One of Watford FC Women’s promotion-winning heroes, Sophie McLean enjoyed an excellent day out in London against Charlton Athletic, as the midfielder’s brace helped the Hornets to a first win of the campaign.

Once again, León played a crucial role in the build-up to the goal, passing to McLean who poked the ball between the Charlton goalkeeper’s legs to complete a fluid move, with the 27-year-old having doubled her tally.

Tom Ince v West Bromwich Albion – September 20

Summer signing Tom Ince got off the mark against the Baggies with an impressive goal early into the Championship encounter.

Having worked the ball well around the edge of West Brom’s 18-yard area, Imrân Louza’s quick pass reached the winger who wrapped his left foot around the ball to produce an epic first-time finish.

Matheus Martins v West Bromwich Albion – September 20

In the same encounter as Ince’s strike, Watford supporters at The Vic were treated to another special effort, this time from Martins.

Picking up the ball not far from the edge of the box, the Brazilian’s mazy dribbling skills were on full display as he skipped past the Baggies’ attempt to halt him, before unleashing a finessed finish into the corner.

Wesley Hoedt v Middlesbrough – September 30

The final strike on the list comes from Wesley Hoedt, who has played every single minute of Watford’s season so far.

Following a short corner-kick routine, Martins delivered a dangerous cross to the far-post which eventually reached the onrushing centre-back. Catching the ball sweetly on the half-volley, Hoedt’s effort arrowed into the far corner.
