FPL: Hornets Hit Fantasy Heights

Watford’s 5-2 win against Everton at Goodison Park was good news for FPL Managers who kept faith in their Golden Boys. Two Hornets attackers were named in FPL's "Kings Of Gameweek 9" for their involvement in goals and assists against the Toffees.

In our FPL Watch last week, we had a look at Joshua King [ÂŁ5.5m], delving into his goal-scoring form against Everton and assists record. The 1.9% of FPL Managers who opted for King were handsomely rewarded on Saturday, as the Norwegian striker bagged a hat-trick and 16 points on the board.

That brings his total for the season so far up to 36 points, despite starting only six of the nine games to date and missing two games entirely through injury.

The 8.9% of Fantasy Managers who picked Emmanuel Dennis [£5.2m] may have been disappointed to see the Nigerian on the bench at the start against Everton, but the forward’s instant impact as a substitute meant he took home 12 points. Dennis assisted two of King’s three goals on the day, and grabbed one for himself in stoppage time to seal the victory.

Despite proving to be a valuable asset this season on FPL, it may be wise to hold off from getting him in your team for GW10, as Dennis is suspended for the game against Southampton having racked up five yellow cards.

Meanwhile, Juraj Kucka [ÂŁ5.5m] scored his first Premier League goal, netting a thumping header to level the score at 2-2. He received a respectable seven points for his efforts, and after five shots could have had another goal on the day.
