FPL: Front Three Thrive In Norwich Win

By: Watford FC Staff

A 3-1 away win at Norwich City rewarded Fantasy Premier League managers who opted to include Watford players in their team for Gameweek 5.

As the dust settles on the Hornets’ second win of the league campaign we reflect on which individuals stood out in the rankings...

Ismaïla Sarr [£6.1m] - 15 points

Two goals for Ismaïla Sarr secured a 15-points return from the victory at Carrow Road, with the Senegal winger receiving three bonus points for his efforts.

  • Goals - 2x 5 points
  • 90 minutes played - 2 points
  • Bonus - 3 points

Sarr is currently the fourth most transferred-in player of the Gameweek [160,025], and was part of the GW5 Dream Team.

He now has 30 points across the first five Gameweeks, just one point off third place in the Fantasy midfield standings, and has risen by £0.1m in price.

Joshua King [£5.5m] - 10 points

Joshua King led the line for the Hornets in his first full 90 minutes of the season.

King was heavily involved in the action throughout and was perhaps unlucky not to net a goal of his own, but he registered two assists and impressed alongside Sarr and Emmanuel Dennis, joining the former in the GW5 Dream Team.

  • Assists - 2x 3 points
  • 90 minutes played - 2 points
  • Bonus - 2 points

King won five aerial duels against Norwich and registered two shots, the second leading to Watford’s third goal.

Priced at just £5.5m, he is selected by just 0.5% of managers and could be a handy option.

Emmanuel Dennis [£5.2m] - 6 points

Nigerian forward Dennis scored for the second time this season, heading home brilliantly after 17 minutes to break the deadlock.

He continued his effective link-up play with Sarr and King in attack, and was unlucky not to get on the end of a Sarr cross in the second half.

  • Goals - 1x 4 points
  • 72 minutes played - 2 points

So far, over 60,000 FPL managers have opted to bring in King ahead of GW6.

The forward is ranked eighth in the league for “threat”, which gauges the players who are “most likely to score goals”.
