FIFA 22: João Pedro Named In Future Stars Squad

By: Watford FC Staff

Watford forward João Pedro’s exciting potential and strong start to life in the Premier League has been rewarded with a place in EA Sports FIFA 22’s Future Stars team.

The Brazilian forward has been selected alongside some of football’s brightest young talents, and given a considerable upgrade in FIFA Ultimate Team.

João Pedro scored nine goals last season and notched three assists as he helped Watford return immediately to the top-flight, in his first full season of English football. The 20-year-old continued his rise this term, scoring his first goal in the Premier League against Manchester United and heading home a late equaliser at St James' Park against Newcastle United last month, and has shown an ability to play as a striker, on either flank or behind a front three.

The upgrade in statistics on Ultimate Team reflects his potential, with a 16+ upgrade on his overall rating, from 71 to 87. He has also earned boosts to Pace (+15), Shooting (+16), Passing (+15), Dribbling (+16), Defending (+8) and Physical (+16).

João Pedro’s upgraded Future Stars version will be available in Ultimate Team from 6pm GMT today [Friday February 4], and live for one week.
