Watford FC and MrQ are delighted to announce a new long-term partnership, which will see the logo of the locally-based gambling company adorn the front of the club's shirts.

Independently-owned and operating from St. Albans since its 2018 inception, MrQ.com becomes the club's principal partner for the forthcoming 2023/24 season and beyond.

The multi-year agreement represents a record-breaking deal for an EFL club.

"It's a great new chapter for the club and for us," said Savvas Fellas, MrQ.com founder. "We're excited for next season. Our business was built in St. Albans and the people who have shaped it are Hertfordshire born and bred and so we're excited about expanding on that local story."

Savvas added: "We're looking to raise our profile but this deal represents a lot more than just a sponsorship; it's a partnership, and we're keen to play our part in the local community."

Positioned as a challenger brand within the industry, MrQ identifies potential behavioural problems and proactively intervenes, believing the use of technology can help reduce the number of people with gambling-related problems in the UK and is aligned to their core vision, 'To shift the world's perception of what gambling should be - fun'.

"Our business is built on strong values, a set of first principles in which we make all day-to-day decisions on," explains Savvas.

"These include fairness, value entertainment and crafting with care - and these are embodied within everything we do for our players.

"We have a responsibility to make sure that we don't just adhere to regulations but that we go above and beyond the call of duty. This is where the technology and data come into everything we do. We have built our business and reputation entirely on openness, honesty and care."

Watford FC's Commercial Director Paul O'Brien said of the partnership: "The MrQ agreement is a very strong financial deal for the club and it also has longevity.

"MrQ has impressive roots in the local area and shares great synergy with our club values. As a Hertfordshire-based business, they are looking to impact really positively in the community."
