An exciting opportunity has become available at Watford Football Club, working with the first team, reporting into the First Team Analysis Department. We are looking to recruit a forward thinking, proactive Data Scientist to deliver innovative solutions and actionable insights to help the club unlock the full potential of data to make evidence-based decisions.
You will work collaboratively across the wider football departments to apply data science techniques, deploy innovative applications, and ultimately establish evidence-based decisions on first-team, recruitment, player development and performance.
You will play a key role by designing, building and applying statistical and machine learning models that will evolve our understanding of players, the game, accelerating the use of data-driven insights through the development of visualisations and deployment of interactive tools at the football club.
Applicants will need to be flexible to the requirement of the position and business and should ideally live local to London Colney or the surrounding areas, and be a UK resident or non-UK resident with a valid UK work permit and ideally have experience working within a similar role.
