An exciting new opportunity has become available, primarily working within Academy and Women’s teams at Watford Football Club.
We are looking to recruit a Safeguarding Officer to be a part of a forward-thinking team responsible for managing and reporting safeguarding concerns, ensuring policies and processes are followed, in line with the Club and all governing bodies requirements.
You will play a key role in assisting the Head of Safeguarding on the delivery of best practice in the Club's safeguarding provision, ensuring the highest standards are met and maintained. This includes but not limited to the driving of safeguarding knowledge, understanding and responsibilities through regular staff training.
You will provide support to the Academy Player Care & Welfare Officer and Women’s Team General Manager in overseeing and monitoring the transition of newly signed players and their induction to Academy and Women’s team life and the training programme. In addition, you will support in maintaining relationships with Academy player families across all ages, including current and new recruits for host families.
The successful candidate will have versatile communication skills, able to engage with children, adults, vulnerable groups, staff and board members; in addition to good judgement and influencing skills.
Applicants should ideally live local to Watford or the surrounding areas and be a UK resident or non-UK resident with a valid UK work permit.
