Watford Football Club is experiencing ever increasing commercial growth and due to this we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Partnership Sales Manager with a strong proven track record to join an innovative football club and work within our dynamic Partnerships Team.

You will work closely with the Commercial Director and Partnership Account Manager to identify new partners for Watford Football Club for both the men’s and women’s teams.

The role will also include looking to create new innovative partnership assets for the club, assist with the creation of new and innovative sales materials (to ensure we create the desired cut through) and to be at the cutting edge of industry standards and activities.

The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, be enthusiastic, hardworking, and be flexible to the requirements of the position and the business.

Applicants should ideally live local to Watford or the surrounding areas and be a UK resident or non-UK resident with a valid UK work permit, and ideally have experience working within a similar role.

You must have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience of working in a partnership sales environment, with a proven and demonstrable track record of success, preferable at a football club or similar environment.
  • Experience of closing commercial and or partnership deals - please provide detail of deals that you have been actively involved in within your application.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication.
  • Tenacious and innovative approach to sales.
  • Ability to initiate and build relationships.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and approach.
  • Understanding of the club’s commitment to EDI & Safeguarding.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to initiate and build relationships.
  • Confident presentation skills.
  • Thrives under pressure and when tasked to meet ambitious targets.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence or ability to travel to various locations due to the demands of the role.

You would ideally have, but not vital:

  • Fluent in multiple languages.
