An exciting opportunity has become available at Watford Football Club on a casual basis, within our Sensory Room on matchdays.

The Sensory Room has been designed for autistic children to enjoy a football game, in a quiet safe space, with a view to being able to transition into the main stadium once they feel confident to do so. The Sensory Room Host will work on a home matchday, supporting families with children who require a sensory environment.

The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, be enthusiastic and hardworking, and flexible to the requirements of the role and the business.

Applicants should ideally live local to Watford or the surrounding areas and be a UK resident or non-UK resident with a valid UK work permit, and ideally have experience working within a similar position.

Essential:

  • Be flexible and available for evening and weekend games
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm
  • Understanding of autism spectrum disorder and the needs of the families in attendance
  • Understanding of the club’s commitment to EDI & Safeguarding

Desirable:

  • Previous knowledge of working in a sensory environment, or with adults and children with additional needs
  • Interest in football
