Academy: Five Players Sign For The Young Hornets

Watford FC is pleased to announce the signings of five promising young players who will be joining up with the Academy.

Ezio Touray, Zak Fraser-Grante, Jordan Fankwe, James Collins and Dawid Hamiga have all made the switch to the Hornets.

Ezio Touray

Forward Touray joins the Hornets having enjoyed a productive season so far with Basingstoke Town, notching eight goals during his time at the Winklebury Stadium.

Born in Italy, and beginning his career at Chievo Verona, he made the move to England before making his senior non-league debut at Flackwell Heath.

He has recently taken part in first-team training, having scored in an Under-21 Premier League Cup victory against Middlesbrough for the Young Hornets.

Zak Fraser-Grante

Attacking midfielder Fraser-Grante, 17, arrives from Hampton and Richmond Borough having featured for the Beavers in the National League South this season.

He has been training with the Academy over the past few weeks and has featured for Omer Riza’s Under-21 side, impressing as a trialist.

Jordan Fankwe

Midfielder Fankwe arrives in Hertfordshire having previously enjoyed a five-year spell at Nottingham Forest.

The Cameroonian 20-year-old recently featured for the Young Hornets in a 2-0 victory over London Lions, in the quarter-finals of the Herts Senior Challenge Cup.

James Collins

Also joining is 18-year-old forward Collins from Hertford Town.

Collins has recently played for the Hornets’ Academy sides, making an impact for both the Under-18s and Under-21s having notched goals for both teams as a trialist.

Dawid Hamiga

Wide attacking forward Hamiga has also signed terms, having recently played alongside Fankwe in the 2-0 victory over London Lions.

The 17-year-old was previously on the books at Southern League Premier South side Beaconsfield Town.
