Academy: Collins Joins Royston On Loan

Watford Under-21 forward James Collins has joined Southern League Premier Central side Royston Town on loan until December 10.

The 18-year-old has been a Hornet since signing from Hertford Town in January 2023, and he signed a fresh professional contract in the summer after scoring a flurry of goals for both the Under-18s and Under-21s.

This season, Collins has featured regularly for Charlie Daniels’ Under-21s side, while he also appeared in the senior matchday squad for the first time away at Stoke City in the Sky Bet Championship in August.

He will now look to further his development by gaining senior minutes with Royston, who currently sit 14th in their league standings ahead of a home clash against Stourbridge on Saturday (November 11).
