Watford Under-21 defender Hamzat Balogun has joined Southern League Division One Central side Bedford Town on loan until the end of November.
The former Manchester United starlet, 18, has been a Hornet since August 2021, and signed a professional contract in the summer after featuring prominently on the Under-18s’ run to the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup last season, while also establishing himself at Under-21s level.
Having featured for Charlie Daniels’ side on a number of occasions this term, Balogun will now look to further his development by gaining senior minutes with Bedford, who currently sit top of their league after eight wins and two draws from 10 games so far.
