Academy: Adeyemo Joins Wealdstone On Loan

Academy forward Tobi Adeyemo will look to get minutes under his belt in men’s football with Wealdstone after joining the National League club on loan.

The 19-year-old will link up with his new side until April 24.

The Stones currently sit 16th in the fifth-tier of English football, and will be looking for an upturn in form having gone without a win in the last three matches. They visit already-relegated Oxford City on Good Friday (March 29, 3pm KO).

The striker joined Watford in October 2018 and made an instant impression as a 17-year-old on his home debut for the Hornets in January 2023.

Brought off the bench, he scored just four minutes later in the 72nd minute of the Graham Taylor matchday against Blackpool.

He made three further first-team appearances that season, but has been hampered by injury so far throughout the 2023/24 campaign.

The striker picked up an injury to both his hips in pre-season, but has since made his return, scoring his first goal of the campaign for the Under-21s in a 2-1 win over Barnsley on Tuesday.

Best of luck, Tobi!
