The news that Gerard Deulofeu could play a part tonight was the main headline from this week's pre-match press conference.

Troy Deeney is also fit for selection, but Stefano Okaka will miss the rest of the season with a thigh injury.

Nathaniel Chalobah, Younès Kaboul, Tom Cleverley and Tommie Hoban will all miss out.

Roberto Pereyra faces a late fitness test to be ready in time for tonight's fixture.

“We can be happy” - Kabasele

Christian Kabasele spoke with the broadcast media after the final whistle:

"It was good to score first against a big team. Against Other big teams we have conceded a lot, so today was a big improvement.

"We worked a lot on set pieces, today it was me who scored, next time another one but it is always good to help the team in a different way to defending."

"If the ball didn't hit the post we would've won the game, but if we take a point against Tottenham we can be happy."

Silva Speaks

Marco Silva spoke to BBC Match of the Day after the draw with Spurs:

"We tried to win the match of course, but if you can't win it then don't lose this game against a top opponent.

5:05 PM

Deeney on Spurs

Skipper Troy Deeney spoke to Premier League Productions' Lynsey Hooper after the final whistle:

"Both teams are equally disappointed. They expect to beat us. Then when they go down to ten we would hope to nick the win.

"It's more about the level of performance for us now. We have a big schedule at Christmas so we must be ready."

4:53 PM

All over, all square

Watford huffed and puffed to try and break 10-man Spurs down but it just wouldn't fall in the end. A very good result, despite the Hornets' obvious frustration at not taking advantage of their extra man.

Spurs have dominated for much of the half but the Hornets are playing this well. Marco Silva's are looking to break over the top whenever they win back possession and look a threat on the counter.

"We prepare the game in the same way for a tough test against a team with possibilities all the time during the game. They have quality in all lines of the team.

“We are focused on ourselves” - Prödl

Sebastian Prödl spoke to the broadcast media pre-match:

"We have to lose fear against big opponents. We showed we can compete on Tuesday but not for 90 minutes.

"We have to be aware of [Harry] Kane and [Dele] Alli and defend as team. We can not give them space.

"I don't see them struggling, we are focused on ourselves. We know how difficult it was in the last two years against Tottenham, but we are focused on ourselves and we will try to take the points today."

2:00 PM

Luther on Marco

Watford legend Luther Blissett has been speaking to John Motson for BBC's Football Focus:

"I think he [Marco Silva] has given the players confidence to play and go out to do the things they are good at.

"This season we've been far more relaxed when we've had the ball, and the players are looking to take people on and get crosses in, it's absolutely fantastic the way we are playing at the moment."
