“We must kill the match” - Silva

"All of us are disappointed.

"Until our first goal we control everything. When we have chance to score second we must score it. We had two clear chances, we must kill the match.

"Their goal from a cross is maybe offside. I didn't see our team struggling during the match, we did enough to win the match and if we score our chances then we win the match."

4:50 PM

All over.

Watford have been punished here. Punished for resting on a 1-0 lead and not putting the game to bed.

For 70 minutes they were the only team in the game but Swansea grew in confidence as the game went on at 1-0 and could sense there was something in it for them. Boos ring out at the final whistle as Ayew and Narsingh win it for the Swans.

4:49 PM - 90 MIN

Dyer sends in a shot that Gomes can only Parry and Narsingh is the only player alive to the rebound. He slots home. Swansea are in dreamland. 1-2.

We said Swansea would get one more big chance and they have taken it.

Oli McBurnie rises high to nod down and Ayew pokes past Gomes. Cleverley appeals for offside but the linesman says no. It was close but probably the right call. 1-1.

4:39 PM - 81 MIN

Yellow card

The Austrian centre back goes into the referee's book after bringing down Nathan Dyer.

4:38 PM - 80 MIN

A change apiece

Nathan Dyer is on for Swansea in place of Sam Clucas. Roberto Pereyra replaces Andre Carrillo.

Swansea go close...

Narsing finds himself one-on-one with Wague. His eventual shot takes a deflection straight into Gomes' hands. You get the sense Swansea will get one big chance before the end here. Watford need a second.

4:13 PM - 57 MIN

Substitution Swansea City

4:12 PM

Richarlison rises above Swansea's Kyle Naughton.

4:11 PM - 53 MIN

And another!

Okaka wrestles his way past two Swansea defenders and into the box and his cross is blocked in front of Richarlison.

From the resulting corner Wague scores but there was a pull on the defender's shirt and it's disallowed. Hornets pressing hard for a second.

4:07 PM - 49 MIN

Cleverley releases Richarlison and his cross is inches from the outstretched foot of Okaka. Another good start from the Hornets.

4:02 PM - 46 MIN

Back underway

One change for Swansea. Roque Mesa is off, Luciano Narsingh replaces him.

Come on you 'Orns!

3:47 PM

One up at the break

The Hornets lead thanks to Andre Carrillo's header and it's well deserved. The Hornets have dominated play but will perhaps want to create more clear-cut openings and put the game to bed after the interval. Second half to follow.

3:35 PM

The Golden Boys celebrate Andre Carrillo's opener.

3:34 PM - 34 MIN

Yellow card

Watford look to break and Carroll quite obviously tugs on Doucoure's shirt. Yellow card.

3:31 PM - 31 MIN

Yellow card

Interesting decision that. Carrillo puts an arm out to stop Ayew, the wing man going down a second or two later. Booking for Watford's goalscorer.

3:26 PM

Andre Carrillo nods Watford in front with his first goal for the club.

3:17 PM

Stefano Okaka right in the thick of it on his return to the starting XI

3:11 PM - 11 MIN

Great start from the Hornets, on top from the outset.

Okaka slides in Richarlison beautifully and the Brazilian forces a parry from Fabianski which Andre Carrillo is only too happy to head into the Swansea net. 1-0. Get in!

Cleverley done

Watford's midfield dynamo, Tom Cleverley fizzes an effort narrowly wide of Lukasz Fabianski's left hand post. Very close to opening the scoring for the Golden Boys.

3:05 PM - 5 MIN

Ayew awake yet?

With nobody closing him down, Jordan Ayew has a pop from 35 yards and strikes the crossbar. Would have been sloppy from the Hornets.

3:02 PM - 2 MIN

Yellow card

Richarlison races clear down the left and Fernandez takes him out. Early booking for the Swansea captain.

“Nothing changes with us” - Silva

Head Coach Marco Silva spoke to Sky Sports' David Craig pre-match:

"It is a new game. Normal we try to have a strategy for each match. We start with Okaka because he did well last match and now he starts.

"It is important that after three points and a good result nothing changes with us. The best thing is the players lift in confidence, to win this match would do even more.

"For us the first mistake is to look at the table. We prepare for the game with respect. Everything changes so fast in Premier League. We must keep focused in our work."

All alone...

...plenty of Hornets en route to join this lone soul at The Vic though!

“I expect them to be aggressive” - Zeegelaar

Marvin Zeegelaar has been speaking to Sky Sports ahead of kick-off:

"[The last game was] very important for our confidence and the fans.

"We don't look at the table. Every team in the Premier League is strong, and we have lost to teams at the bottom.

"I expect them to be aggressive because they want to change their situation, so I expect it to be tough."

2:00 PM

The Teams

Marco Silva Makes just the one change to his starting line-up for Swansea's visit.

After his bustling substitute performance against Leicester Stefano Okaka comes into the starting XI. Roberto Pereyra is fit for the bench after picking up a knock against the Foxes.

Stefano's Message

Season's greetings and best wishes 🥂

From the treatment table

Roberto Pereyra is the only new doubt for the Hornets having been forced off against Leicester on Boxing Day.

“We'll take care with him and see how he is but he looks in a good condition to play tomorrow,” said Marco Silva.

For the visitors Wilfried Bony could make a return from a hamstring complaint that kept him out of the last two.

12:40 PM

Last time out

Étienne Capoue scored the vital goal for Watford at The Vic last season against Swansea which eased the Hornets' relegation fears. Hopefully it won't be quite as nervy today 🙏

12:30 PM

We're back...

Is it just us or do teams like changing managers before they face Watford? 🤔

Carlos Carvalhal is the latest new boss to kick-off against the Hornets as Swansea City visit in the Premier League. Stay tuned for updates and live commentary from around 2.30pm.
