My Hometown: Imrân Louza

By: Watford FC Staff

In the ‘My Hometown’ series, the Golden Boys reflect on their humble beginnings, lifting the lid on what’s special about the place they call home.

Next up is midfielder Imrân Louza, who hails from Nantes, France...

How would you describe your hometown?

It’s my home. It’s where I have my family and friends. Everything is within walking distance and it’s a really nice place.

Traditional dish?

My mum cooks a lot for me and she makes it special for me. Her best dish is anything Moroccan-based. It really is amazing.

Drink you’d have with it?

I always drink water, even when I was a child. I don’t drink Coke or anything else, it’s just water.

Favourite restaurant?

We have a few Moroccan restaurants in Nantes, but they can’t beat my mum’s own cooking.

Sight you have to see?

Place Royale is lovely when the sun is out. It’s a really nice place to be. It’s right at the heart of the city, a nice square with a sculpture and fountains. I used to go there a lot when I was younger.

If you could introduce a visitor to one person?

I would probably take Jeremy Ngakia to Nantes to meet Valentin Rongier. He used to play for Nantes and is a really good footballer. He plays for Olympique de Marseille at the moment, but we both came through the Nantes youth academy together.
