News: Sunderland Game To Go Ahead As Planned

By: Watford FC Staff

Watford FC’s scheduled Sky Bet Championship match at home to Sunderland (Saturday September 17, 3pm KO) is to go ahead as planned, the club confirms.

The Hornets’ fixture against Reading - originally due to be played on Saturday (September 10) - was postponed as a mark of respect following the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II, however this morning the EFL announced the return of the scheduled fixture programme from Tuesday September 13.

Therefore, Rob Edwards’ charges will return to match action at Blackburn Rovers tomorrow night (7.45pm KO), before the home fixture against the Black Cats four days later.

Tickets for the Blackburn and Sunderland matches, as well as the home game against Swansea City (Wednesday October 5, 7.45pm KO), and away trips to Stoke City (Sunday October 2, 12noon KO) and Blackpool (Saturday October 8, 3pm KO), remain on general sale, while tickets for the clash against Norwich City at The Vic (Saturday October 15, 7.45pm KO) are available to fans in Home Group A.
