Hornets Hive Show

Introducing Hornets Hive, our brand-new matchday experience for fans around the world to interact with each other digitally while watching a dedicated Watford FC show, fronted by host Emma Saunders.

Hornets Hive will go live an hour before kick-off, and will offer fans exclusive pre-match content and full-time analysis from people who know the club best. Emma will be joined by special guests each week, as well as answering fan questions submitted via a global chat box as the show is broadcast.

To replicate the experience of watching the Golden Boys with your closest friends and family, you will be able to set up ‘watch rooms’ of up to four people, allowing you to follow the show together via video chat.

During the match viewers will join Jon Marks and Derek Payne for radio commentary of the game. Make sure to leave your questions and comments during the first half for the Hive panel to discuss during half-time. Once the final whistle blows, the panel will be back on screen to analyse the match and bring you exclusive pitch side interviews with players and staff, as well as getting your views on the game.

Designed to be your second screen accompaniment to watching live matches on your TV, Hornets Hive will bring fans together while we can’t attend Vicarage Road.

For the best viewing experience, we recommend watching Hornets Hive in watch rooms using Google Chrome or Firefox browsers. Like all watch along environments to avoid any echos in your video chat rooms, all participants should wear headphones with built in microphones.

FAQs

There are two ways to watch Hornets Hive. If you want to watch along in a video chat room with your mates, you should access the show via watfordfc.com/hornetshive and click the ‘watch now’ button to create a room. You can then share a link to your room with up to 3 of your friends or family. However, if you’d just like to watch the show on your own then head to our official YouTube channel.

At the moment you can have 4 people in one room, including yourself, but you can use the text chat function to interact with every Watford fan no matter what room they are in.

No, only those in your room will be able to see and hear your conversation. The only conversation that will be shared is anything you type in the chat box.

For the best experience we recommend using a laptop or desktop device. Android phones and tablets are also fully supported. If you are on an iOS device we would recommend watching via YouTube as the watch along room functionality isn’t fully supported at the moment.

If you are in a watch along room with your mates, we recommend wearing headphones otherwise the other people in the room might be able to hear the show through your device and cause an echo. You will need to ensure your headphones have a microphone in order to talk with others in your room.

Dedicated Watford chat from those who know the club best, a wide range of exclusive interviews and content, conversations with fans from the UK and around the world as well as the chance for you to ask questions of Watford players and coaches via the text chat function.

We will go on air an hour before kick-off for all matches.
