Fresh from signing his first professional contract with the club, Ryan Cassidy fronted up to the watfordfc.com cameras.
It's been a steep learning curve for the Irish youngster who moved to England and joined Watford in July.
“I didn't really expect it,” said Cassidy. “All my hard work has paid off now.”
He's caught the eye with his goals for the Under-23s, but the young forward wasn't always, well, a forward.
He said: “Ive only been a striker for two and a half years, before that I was a central midfielder, but in those years I've scored a lot of goals.
“I'm always eager to score goals, and if I don't score then I'm not very happy!”
Having just turned 17, it is all about progression through the youth levels for Cassidy, but the young Hornet is cautiously setting himself new targets having already achieved more than he had hoped for in his first season at Watford.
“At the start of the season I gave myself a target to just play regularly for the Under-18s,” he said. “After moving over, everyone is very proud of me now starting for the [Under-] 23s, so hopefully I can move forward in the next few years.
“I want to try and get into the first-team, but if that's not an option then I want to go out on loan and experience first-team football, but at the moment I'm really enjoying playing for the Under-23s.”
