Gomes | “My Job Is Not Done”

Full of smiles and joy as always, Heurelho Gomes admitted there was not much thinking to do before he put pen to paper last week on prolonging his deal with the club.

The Brazilian stopper has extended his current three-year stay with the Hornets for another two years, taking him through to at least 2019 at Vicarage Road.

“To be honest, it wasn’t too difficult to make the decision,” the 36-year-old said, speaking to watfordfc.com

“I know my limit and where I can go - on the other hand, I know that my job is not finished, and that’s why I’m keen to stay here for a little bit longer.

“I want to continue to help the club and I’ll do that with a big smile on my face.”

Watch the video above to see the full interview with Gomes.

See Gomes and the Golden Boys in action at The Vic for the first time this pre-season as we celebrate The Graham Taylor Matchday on Saturday.
