Community Director: Rob Smith
Before becoming Community Director in the summer of 2008, Rob Smith had held 12 years experience with Watford Football Club.
Having started as Assistant Football in the Community Officer, Rob had previously worked with West Ham United and Charlton Athletic's community schemes and had experience of full-time sports development roles.
Rob progressed at Vicarage Road to become an integral part of the community programme's development, and particularly since the inception of the Community Sports and Education Trust in 2004, which he went on to manage.
Responsibilities include the development of the Trust's Project Manager's and their work, increasing existing and attracting funding and enhancing the positive relationships and partnership established by the Trust as well as developing scope for the Trust to establish new projects.
Rob lives in Hemel Hempstead with his partner Ali, and their two children.
Commercial Director: Raj Athwal
Raj Athwal joined Watford in July of 2008 as Head of Corporate Sales, and holds responsibility for focusing on the commercial aspects of the Club.
With an invaluable spell he gained at Coventry City Football Club, over a period of 14 years, he brings the experience of managing long-term business relationships and making trusted partnerships work to Vicarage Road.
Raj is married to Sharon and has two children.
Operations Director: Glyn Evans
Glyn joined Watford FC in March 2007 as Stadium Manager, before assuming the role of Head of Operations in April 2009.
He holds accountability for the stadium and all aspects of matchday operations - and represents the club on the Watford Health Campus Senior Management and Operations groups.
Glyn served within Hertfordshire Constabulary for 31 years, retiring in the rank of Chief Inspector specialising in operational planning, logistics and policing major sporting events; experience which has proved invaluable now working at Vicarage Road.
Married to Rosemary with two grown up children, Glyn - also a long-serving committee member of the local 4+1' charity - lives in Hemel Hempstead.
Head of Finance: Katie Wareham
Katie is among the longest-serving members of administrative staff here at Vicarage Road, having first joined the Hornets in 1995.
Starting out as a Finance Assistant, Katie was promoted through the ranks, eventually assuming her current role in 2009.
In between times, Katie also held the position of Operations Director, playing a part in the redevelopment of the Rookery Stand and executive areas of the Rous Stand.
Raised locally and educated at Watford Grammar School for Girls, Katie lives with husband Ian in Croxley Green, with daughters Ami and Elizabeth.
