FIRST TEAM MANAGER: MALKY MACKAY
BOSS Malky Mackay has been a Hornet since August 2005. The former defender played in a yellow shirt from 2005-2008, making 60 appearances and scoring five goals for the club.
Mackay has also earned 3 caps for Scotland during his playing career.
He joined the Golden Boys from West Ham United, where he was part of the squad which was promoted under the stewardship of Alan Pardew.
Mackay has an envious record of three promotions from the Championship. The first being with Norwich, the second with The Hammers and thirdly, of course, with Watford in 2005/06.
The former centre half started his playing career in Scotland at Queen's Park and then moved to SPL giants Celtic.
He spent five years at Celtic Park before deciding to pursue his career south of the border.
Initially he joined Norwich City on loan, but that soon turned into a permanent deal.
The no-nonsense defender was a crowd favourite at Carrow Road, making well over 200 appearances for the Canaries.

Mackay has 3 International caps with Scotland |
A year spell in the east end of London with The Hammers followed before moving to Vicarage Road.
His experience was vital as the club was promoted to the top-flight under the guidance of young boss Aidy Boothroyd.
During the club's year in the Premiership, Mackay started to turn his hand to coaching.
He was involved in coaching sessions with the first team squad and the younger players who have since come up through the club's blossoming Academy.
Mackay eventually retired from playing at the end of the 2007/08 season, his last game for the Golden Boys was against Wolves in the FA Cup fourth round in January 2008.
He was then appointed First Team Coach after previously taking charge of the reserve side at Vicarage Road.

Mackay in his playing days with the Hornets |
When Boothroyd left the club in November 2008, Mackay was the man the board turned to as Caretaker Manager.
The Scotsman enjoyed five games at the helm, steadying the good-ship Watford during some troubled days for the club.
The highlight of his time in charge was a convincing 3-0 win over London rivals QPR in WD18.
When the Hornets appointed Brendan Rodgers, Mackay was kept on in the backroom shake-up and continued in his role as first Team Coach.
Following the end of the 2008/09 season, which the Hornets finished on a high, Rodgers left the club in June 2009.
Mackay was immediately a front-runner for the position and the club admitted he had been earmarked as a possible successor to Rodgers, whenever he should depart.
The former Scottish international was officially appointed on Monday June 15 2009 and he met the media two days later.
Mackay is close to finishing his UEFA pro-licence course in conjunction with the Scottish Football Association - he spent time in Sweden in June 2009 focusing on the European U21 tournament as part of his course.
Additionally, Mackay has also passed the Certificate in Applied Management for Football at Warwick Business School. Previous students include the current England U21 boss Stuart Pearce and Mark Hughes.
Mackay is now settled in Hertfordshire and lives with his family in Berkhamsted.
