CONTRACTORS at Watford's Vicarage Road stadium have been able to continue with redevelopment work during the close season.
As you will see from the pictures below, Kier of London have been hard at work in the south west corner with the ground area and first floor areas taking shape.
Kier are contracted, as part of the south-facing housing development, to deliver the structure in the south west corner which, once completed, will be handed over to Watford for subsequent fit-out.
That corner of the stadium will eventually house the players' tunnel and changing rooms on the ground floor.
The first floor will accommodate a media suite and a TV studio, while finally the second floor will feature a players' and manager's lounge as well as a match control centre overlooking the pitch.

Meanwhile demolition work in the south east corner will began shortly.
As reported in our last update the media portakabin facilities have been removed with the stadium maintenance team vacating their offices below as well now.

For the 2008/09 season, local and national media will be housed inside the old Academy offices situated behind the open air section in the East Stand.
