FOLLOWING today's announcement that season ticket renewals are available for the forthcoming 2008/09 campaign, supporters will be aware of the impact that the ongoing redevelopment of Vicarage Road will have on the stadium's capacity next season.

Most recently, a great deal of preparatory work has become evident in the south west corner of the ground, that between the Rookery and the Rous stand, where phase one of the development is in progress.

Work is now gathering pace as the key worker housing contractors, Kier, begin the build of not only the corner facilities, but also the wraparound housing development to the south of the Rookery stand.

The work currently ongoing in the south west corner is extremely complex, but will provide the infrastructure needed to be able to meet the intended timescales for the demolition of the stadium's oldest stand to the east.

Presently, this outdated East Stand facility continues to hold the key functionality of the stadium's match day operation, such as the changing rooms, media facilities, dugouts, and so on, that all need to be transferred to the new corner site in the second phase of the project, which is intrinsically linked to the key worker development.

The operations team that are responsible for delivering the new facilities, in conjunction with the appointed contractors, are continually planning and assessing the status of the build process and have in mind key contractual target dates for its progress.

With this in mind, all existing East Stand season ticket holders will be informed of the option to relocate this close season when renewing their season tickets, or alternatively stay in their current seats until which time in the campaign the demolition process will commence. As with those supporters moved last season from the central Upper Rous area, we will inform all East Stand season ticket holders of relocation news, as and when it is available.

In the meantime the Club will await news of an expected planning decision for the East Stand, which we are hopeful of receiving late May or early June time.

Supporters can see below, indacitive examples of the proposed floor designs for the south west corner of the ground. As the designs progress, we will bring you more detailed information regarding the layout of the south west corner - all of these designs are subject to change.
