DO you know your Watford FC history?
Well, let's see if you can remember what happened on the above date?
The following extract is taken from the excellent Watford FC On This Day book, which was published in September last year.
Written by Watford fan and well-respected historian Matt Rowson, here's what Matt remembers about this day in 1982.
An army of 400 Watford supporters helped clear the pitch and terraces of snow to ensure that the home game with Newcastle United could go ahead.
Debutant Kevin Todd gave the visitors an early lead, and Graham Taylor substituted Jan Lohman in the first half, later explaining, "He can't spend the first half hour warming up."

Goals from Ross Jenkins and Steve Terry could not prevent a 3-2 defeat, the last at home in the league until Manchester United's visit the following December.
This game took place on my ninth birthday, incidentally, and was also the first defeat that I'd been subjected to. Twenty-six years on, I'm using my birthday as licence to go to Donny on Saturday....
The book is available now at The Hornets Shop at Vicarage Road and can also be ordered online by clicking here.
