PUBLISHED in September 2009, Watford FC On This Day is a book written by respected historian Matt Rowson and tells the story of the Hornets' long and eventful history.
The book has an individual diary entry for every day of the year plus multiple listings on busier dates.
It also features Vicarage Road's heroes (and villains) from Billy Biggar, Walter Coles and John Goodall to Nigel Gibbs, Ross Jenkins and the other Ross Jenkins.
The book tells the tales of the matches and the characters, the promotions and relegations - indeed, all the events, however big or small, that have helped make Watford the club it is today.

The journey through the calendar features of the Cup Final in 1984, key games in promotion and relegation seasons, managerial appointments and player signings and departures as well as a motorcycle gymkhana on the Vicarage Road pitch, a downturn in form being blamed on the death of a canary and Graham Taylor advertising for fit and available players in the national press.
Watford FC On This Day is available from The Hornets Shop, based at the Vicarage Road stadium, and online by clicking here.
