MARVIN Sordell is another Watford youngster who has made the very successful step up from the academy ranks.
The 18-year-old was also offered his first professional contract with the Golden Boys and signed in April 2009.
The young striker was immediately accepted into the first team appearing in two out of the Hornets first three league games of the 2009/10 season, against Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest in August 2009.
However, his shining moment in a Watford shirt to date was scoring his first goal for the Hornets against Leeds United in the Carling Cup second round on Tuesday 24 August 2009.
His goal made sure the Golden Boys took Leeds into extra time at Elland Road.
Unfortunately Watford went on to lose the game 2-1 in extra time.
