A LOAN spell at Conference side Kettering Town in the latter part of the 2008-09 season introduced Academy product Dale Bennett to the rigours of the professional game.
The centre-half had enjoyed a brief taste of action for the Hornets before that, making his Watford debut as a second-half substitute during a Carling Cup tie at home to West Ham United under Aidy Boothroyd.
Over 20 appearances for the Northamptonshire club left Bennett feeling ready to be blooded into the Hornets' first-team, however his appearances over the past two seasons have been restricted by more senior options in the centre of defence.
