LOCAL lad O'Toole is yet another player to have come through the ranks at Vicarage Road under the watchful eye of the Hornets' Academy. A tough tackling central midfielder, O'Toole spent a time on loan with fellow youngster Theo Robinson at non league Wealdstone during the final stages of the 2006/07 season.
O'Toole became a regular for the reserves and eventually made his debut for the first team after coming off the bench in the Carling Cup game against Southend. He then made his league debut just a matter of days later, this time coming off the bench in the home win over Ipswich Town.
The midfielder made his debut for the Republic of Ireland's under 21 side in late 2007, scoring on his home debut for Eire.
John-Joe is another bright young prospect at Watford and had a regular starting place for the Horns at the end of the season. O'Toole capped the 2007/08 season by scooping the Young Player of the Year award.
