THE French defender was signed close to deadline hour during the January transfer window in 2007.
Avinel caught the eye of Aidy Boothroyd during a trial at the club and after developing in the Hornets' second string team he made his full debut in the away victory over Reading during May 2007.
He put in a number of impressive performances for the reserve team and scored in their final game of the 2006/07 season during the victory over Arsenal.
The powerful central half signed an 18 month deal with the Hornets after signing from Creteil in the French league.
After finding it hard to break into the first team at Watford, the young Frenchman went out on loan to non-league outfit Stafford appearing 8 times.
Avinel then moved back to his home nation in January 2009 to French side Gueugnon.
