ACADEMY product Jordan Parkes turned professional at Vicarage Road in February 2007.
The versatile player tasted international honours this season when he represented England at the prestigious U20 FIFA World Cup, this came after turning out for the Three Lions at U18 level.
He earned his place in the 21 man squad and played in front of a 40,000 crowd in Egypt at the tournament in September and October 2009.
The Hemel-born defender is another graduate from the prolific production line at Watford's Academy.
A naturally right footed player who is equally at home in either full back position, as well as in midfield, he has captained the club's Academy and reserve sides.
Parkes is comfortable on the ball and is happy to get forward and support the midfield with surging runs from the full back position.
The youngster made his debut for the first team against Accrington Stanley in the Carling Cup penalty shoot-out in 2006 and was called upon to take a deciding spot-kick in front of the Vicarage Road crowd.
During 2007/08 Parkes gained vital first-team experience with loan spells at Brentford and Barnet. In November 2008 he also spent time with Stevenage during a loan spell away from WD18.
In 2009 he captained an U19 Watford team in the Copa Amsterdam tournament.
