Jordan Parkes signed his first professional contract for the club in February 2007. The Hemel-born defender being another graduate from the prolific production line at Watford's Academy. A naturally right footed player who is at home at left back he has captained both the Academy and the reserve team during 2006/07.
Parkes also received his first call-up for England during that season and made his debut for the under 18s in the 4-1 victory over Holland at Yeovil.
The youngster made his debut for the first team against Accrington Stanley in the Carling Cup penalty shoot-out and was called upon to take a deciding spot-kick in front of the Vicarage Road crowd. Parkes is comfortable on the ball and is happy to get forward and support the midfield with surging runs from the full back position.
