A LARGER than life personality, for all the good humour and banter there's no getting away from goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin's determination to carve out a successful career in the game.
Having signed for Watford in summer 2010, Scott Loach's ever-present League campaign restricted the 6ft 5ins stopper's appearances to cup ties alone.
That meant four starts for the Irishman - two in the Carling Cup and two in the FA Cup - with most of the rest of the season sat on the bench. Substitute was a position he'd eventually shrugged off at previous club Walsall, taking over from veteran Clayton Ince for some of the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons.
