THE Nottingham-born striker arrived at Vicarage Road in January 2007 after Aidy Boothroyd signed both him and Lee Williamson from Rotherham United.

Hoskins burst onto the scene at a young age with the Millers and has also represented England at a number of levels. Alan Knill, Hoskins' youth coach at the club then gave him his big opportunity with the first team and he grabbed it with both hands.

An intelligent striker around the box, Hoskins is highly regarded by the Vicarage Road backroom staff and will be looking to establish himself in the Championship during 2008/09, since returning from loan spells at Millwall and Nottingham Forest.

Hoskins scored his first goal for the Hornets in the August 2008 win over Bristol Rovers in the Carling Cup.
