MALKY Mackay takes his team up to Barnsley this weekend, following a very convincing win on home turf on Tuesday night.
The Golden Boys stormed past Sheffield United at The Vic, with Tom Cleverley, Heidar Helguson and Don Cowie all making the scoresheet.
"It was great to get back home again" said the Hornets boss, "It felt like it had been a long time since we'd been there.
"Under the lights and a decent crowd and we managed to give them three goals, a clean sheet and a good performance.
"I've been telling both Don and Tom that they should have targets to aim for because they both can score goals and they just have to impose themselves on the game to make sure they do.
"Heidar is a regular goalscorer at this level and he's continuing to do that so long may that continue.
"I thought all in all, playing against a top class team in our division, to come away with three points, was very pleasing."
The Gaffer told www.watfordfc.com that he was also pleased with new signing Martin Taylor's debut for the Golden Boys.
He said: "It was a great debut by Martin Taylor as well."
"Martin's an experienced man who's been around the top level of football for a long time so it didn't take him long to find his feet.
"It's great he came into the team the other night and handled one of the best and most awkward centre-forwards in the division, in Darius Henderson, and did very well.
"It was a nice calm performance from him and he read the game well which helped us."

Despite the victory on Tuesday night and the previous result against The Tykes, the Watford manager was under no illusions about the 'Orns' trip to Oakwell this weekend.
"Barnsley are coming off a great result at Preston, winning 4-1, so we're not underestimating what's in front of us on Saturday" said Malky. The Hornets boss went on to discuss his thoughts on this team selection for the match.
"I look at everyone's form, who we're playing against, what way is going to do us best on the day and how sharp they are in training and we'll continue to do that.
"We'll look at the last performance and how they perform against players in the Championship and this all comes into the equation before we decide who we pick.
"It's important to have a good bench" continued Malky.
"We managed to bring a couple of players in the transfer window to strengthen the group which does give you a bit of a stronger bench than perhaps we had at the start of the season with the likes of Jon Harley, Danny Graham and Stephen McGinn there."
The only doubts for the match in South Yorkshire are Tom Cleverley and Henri Lansbury, the former having suffered a knock on Tuesday and Lansbury recovering from a stomach bug.
But Malky was confident in the ability of his committed medical team at London Colney to get the youngsters fit as soon as possible.
"We're tending to them both to make sure we try and get them ready for Saturday" the boss concluded.
