IT'S been a mixed week for former Walsall striker Troy Deeney as he settles into life at Vicarage Road and the npower Championship.
Tuesday night saw Deeney net his first Watford goal in the Carling Cup defeat to Notts County and he notched up his first League start on Saturday as the Hornets lost out to Leeds United.
He said: "It's been frustrating in the last few games, we've had all the chances but not won games but that's something we've got to get into our mentality.
"We could have done a lot more" admitted the striker about Saturday's game with United.
"When you look at the game as a whole - they only had a couple of chances on goal, so we are disappointed."

With an enforced break of two weeks without a game due to the international break, the Hornets have time to re-group and assess their next steps.
"We'll go back to the drawing board" said the former Walsall man.
"We'll get back into training, look at what went wrong and train harder and go harder against Doncaster Rovers.
"With football you want to get the defeat out of your mind and get back to winning ways.
"We've now got two weeks to get prepared and recharge our batteries."
Deeney joined Watford three weeks ago in a whirlwind way, making his debut against Norwich City just hours after signing for the Hornets. The striker went on to describe his first few weeks at the Club.
"I've been training hard and just aiming to get my fitness up to the rest of the team and I think I'm settling in well.
"I now want to focus on scoring more goals for Watford."

After opening his account with a thundering header in Tuesday night's Carling Cup clash with Notts County, the striker explained that he was satisfied with his development with the Golden Boys so far.
"You've got to take the opportunities when they come to you, like on Saturday when I stepped in for Danny Graham.
"Now I've got to just try and build on that."
