NEWLY turned professional 'keeper Jonathan Bond completed his debut for Wales Under-21 side in their 1-1 away draw with Malta last night (Tuesday).
The young stopper played 45 minutes of the draw in Ta'Qali.
Reading's Hal Robson-Kanu scored the goal for the Welsh, eight minutes from time to draw the match.
Watford's young shot-stopper will now be hoping to get his chance in the last two UEFA Championship Qualifiers against Hungary and Italy.
Bond's cap notched up another international success for Hornets goalkeeper coach Alec Chamberlain who has proudly watched his other student, Scott Loach, receive his first senior England call up this week.

Former Golden Boy Chamberlain expressed his delight at Bond's success and told www.watfordfc.com that he believes the young shot-stopper has all the attributes needed to make it at Vicarage Road and beyond.
He said: "Last year you could probably say he always had the height but he's probably not had the strength with it and he's tried to work on that over the summer when he's been away."
Chamberlain has been impressed with Bond's attitude since beginning his two-year scholarship and feels he has progressed well over pre-season during the summer months.
"He hasn't rested on his laurels and you know hopefully that will bear fruit. As he gets older he'll start to fill out a little more I should think and he's really hit the ground running in pre-season so all round we are very, very pleased with him."
