BLISSETT RAISES MONEY FOR THE BOBBY MOORE FUND

Posted on: Fri 30 Jul 2010

LAST Friday (23 July), Watford legend Luther Blissett competed in The Silverstone Classic against other celebrities to raise money for The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK.

Musician Paul Parfitt Junior won an action packed race after a long battle with Travis Drummer Neil Primrose.

The last position on the podium was taken by music producer Paul O'Duffy after Blissett had held the position for half of the race. Blissett eventually finished fifth after being over taken by TV chef James Martin with a few laps to go.

Luther and his colleagues at www.holidayrentalhomes.com raised an impressive amount prior to the race for The Bobby Moore Fund.

The fund, in partnership with Cancer Research UK, was set up in 1993 in memory of World Cup winning captain Bobby Moore OBE, who sadly died from bowel cancer, aged just 51.

There will be a collection for the charity in The Rous Stand before the Hornets' pre-season friendly with Charlton Athletic this Saturday (31 July) at Vicarage Road.
