DON Cowie believes the Golden Boys will go from strength to strength after a strong end to 2009/10 and what he describes as a buzz around Vicarage Road and the training ground.
The Hornets blew a strong Reading side away in the final home game of the season and then went to Coventry and tore Chris Coleman's men apart, winning the game 4-0.
"You only need to look at the performances towards the end of the season, they show that there is an awful lot of ability at this Club" commented the midfielder.
Watford's number 7 cited the number of re-scheduled games in part for their mid-season dip that ensured a nervy run-in last campaign.
"We had lots of rescheduled games and with our squad being small we lost ground and found ourselves down the lower end of the table."
Cowie hopes that new signings Rene Gilmartin and Tom Aldred will help bolster the squad and provide a solid backbone for the team to build on.
"Hopefully we can get the consistency and if the manger can get a few new signings, we can push on."

"There is no reason why we can't have a very successful season" added the former Inverness man.
With 43 appearances last season, Cowie now knows all about the stressed and strains of the Championship.
He stated: "It's very hard and very demanding. In Scotland you play 38 games, it is only eight additional games in the Championship, but it feels a lots more, basically its eight midweek games to try and fit in somewhere."
Cowie is now looking to push on this coming season.

"Our late season victories gave the fans some belief for the new campaign; I know the players didn't want the season to end.
"There was a real buzz about the place. It can only give us confidence for the new season."
