FOLLOWING this mornings (Wednesday) announcement that Watford have been drawn away to Aldershot Town in the first round of the Carling Cup, both teams have agreed to cancel their pre-season friendly.

The pre-season match was due to take place on Tuesday 27 July, meaning that the teams would play each other twice in a month.However it was agreed that the fixture against the League Two outfit would be cancelled following this mornings draw.

Watford intend to announce a replacement fixture on the same date in due course.
