WATFORD look likely to be without Club Captain Jay DeMerit once more tomorrow (Saturday), for the final home Championship clash of the season with Reading.
The defender picked up his injury in the defeat at Leicester City last weekend, while he didn't even make the squad for Tuesday's fixture at QPR.
Speaking yesterday, Watford boss Malky Mackay was planning for life without his captain this weekend due to his abdominal injury.
He said: "Jay is certainly is more likely not to be involved, he's with our medical team and it will be unlikely that we'll see him on Saturday."
In other injury news, Don Cowie is described as "touch and go" after the midfielder missed the game at Loftus Road after sustaining a calf injury.
Lloyd Doyley returned to first-team action in midweek following his hamstring injury, but Will Buckley is still missing for the 'Orns with the same injury.
Heidar Helguson is available for selection once more after missing the game with his parent club in west London on Tuesday evening.
