Posted on: Thu 18 Mar 2010

SKY Sports News presenters Georgie Thompson and Natalie Sawyer are backing The Football League's Enjoy the Match campaign.

The pair recorded a video message for fans, which is online at www.enjoythematch.co.uk

Enjoy the Match encourages mums, dads and their children to watch Football League games from family-friendly areas inside grounds.

Georgie said: "We're both really pleased to support the Enjoy the Match campaign.

"Football is a family game and it's important that kids and families are able to watch matches in a friendly environment."

This season all 72 Football League clubs are providing family areas for supporters, which are free from bad language and anti-social behaviour.

Football League Director of External Affairs Gavin Megaw said: "We really appreciate Sky's Georgie and Natalie supporting the Enjoy the Match campaign.

"Live Football League matches provide a great opportunity for families to watch football in a friendly atmosphere.

"Families across the country are flocking to support their team and experience the thrill of live football in the designated 'Enjoy the Match' stands."

To date, more than 10,000 fans have pledged their support to the campaign, joining famous faces from the world of sport and music including Alan Shearer, Gary Lineker and top rockers Kasabian.
