WATFORD FC would like to say thank you to all the fans who attended the Help for Heroes match against Peterborough United on Saturday.
Supporters of both teams were extremely generous in donating money to the official Football League charity which provide support and help for those wounded in action in the armed forces and their families.

Over 16,000 fans also witnessed a traditional guard of honour from the Watford and South Oxhey Cadet group and an emotional rendition of the Last Post before observing a minute's silence before kick-off.

Football fan Richard Kell completed his 24 hour 105 mile run from Peterborough's London Road ground at half time on Saturday and Watford FC would like to thanks all the fans who gave Richard a great reception and standing ovation as he finished his marathon with a final lap around the pitch.
