THE club regret to announce that today's (Saturday) game between Watford and Swansea City has been called off following an under-soil heating malfunction overnight.

Referee Trevor Kettle arrived at Vicarage Road and a pitch inspection took place around 11.30am when a decision was made.

The freezing conditions in Hertfordshire meant that large parts of the pitch were unplayable and the decision was supported by officials from both clubs.

A new date will be arranged as soon as possible.
