MALKY’S CHRISTMAS MESSAGE
WATFORD manager Malky Mackay has asked for the below message to be posted on the club's official website here at www.watfordfc.com.
Malky, along with all his staff and players are all in training today (Christmas Day), preparing for tomorrow's fixture with Nottingham Forest at Vicarage Road.
Malky said:
"I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our supporters a very enjoyable Christmas.
"The support over the course of this whole year has been fantastic.
"Since I've been in charge the away games at Reading, Newcastle United and Peterborough United spring to mind, but the home support has consistency been great this season.
"It has been an eventful year for the club that is for sure. But, the support is so important, especially so with the young team we have at the moment.
"I think people will forgive mistakes, but not a lack of effort and I ensure to keep that attitude with the team. Every single player has to give his all for the Watford cause.
"Today (Christmas Day) we are all at the training ground preparing for the game with Nottingham Forest.
"Undoubtedly it's another tough fixture, but we'll be doing everything possible to win the game.
"It would be great to see a full house, but whether you're supporting in person or from afar, please be rest assured that your commitment is never taken for granted and is hugely appreciated.
"I would also like to wish all our supporters a happy New Year; I look forward to seeing you at Bristol City and a lot more of you no doubt at Stamford Bridge on Sunday 3 January."
Malky's usual programme notes can be read in tomorrow's matchday programmes, it is priced at £3.00 and will be available in and around Vicarage Road.
