INJURY LATEST

Posted on: Fri 27 Nov 2009

BOTH Don Cowie and Jon Harley are expected to be involved in the London derby at Selhurst Park this weekend.

The midfield duo picked up a few knocks and niggles this week, but the pair have been in training with the Hornets over the last few days and look likely to feature in an unchanged Watford side for Saturday's trip.

Youngster Ross Jenkins is still missing for the 'Orns with a back injury, while club captain Jay DeMerit is also out with his eye injury.

For Crystal Palace, Neil Warnock has suffered a blow after news of Paddy McCarthy's injury in training this week means the Irish centre-half will miss the match with the Hornets on Saturday.

McCarthy returned to the Palace bench last weekend after a shoulder injury but its' recurrence means he could need another operation.

Youngster Sean Scannell remains a doubt after sustaining a hamstring injury playing for the Republic of Ireland U21s during the international break, he faces a late fitness test ahead of the game.

Eagles left-back Lee Hills begins his three-match ban on Saturday after being sent off while on loan at Oldham while Stern John this week completed a one-month loan move to Ipswich Town.
